The Special Child Trust brings Vincent Strully to India for the first time. Mr. Strully is the founder of NECC (New England Center for Children) and a leader in the field of autism intervention. Founded in 1975, NECC is a global leader in autism research and intervention and provides services in 15 states across America as well as five countries.

As autism reaches disturbingly high numbers in India, it is essential that we utilize the best available scientific research and strategies to improve the lives of people affected.

Mr Strully's talk focused on introducing parents and educators to the latest research and intervention strategies in the field of Autism Spectrum disorders.

The Special Child Trust begins a new initiative for individuals on the Autistic Spectrum to create a school program ACE- Autism Center of Excellence. This will be founded on the latest research based methodologies that span from the early years to adulthood. Each classroom will have a 1:1 student-teacher ratio. The program will eventually focus on the middle and teenage years where there is maximum fallout from traditional and integrated school systems.
